OCTO SI · formerly OCTO AI · by GrnBit

One system for power, heat and compute

OCTO SI is a multi-agent SI system built to run power, heat and compute as one system, so that AI servers and mining machines do more work with less power.

OCTO SI is simulation-validated, so far only on a digital twin; it is not yet measured on live hardware.

What it does

What OCTO SI is built to do

OCTO SI is built to read the machines, the power feed and the cooling together, rather than tuning each machine on its own, and to set them for the most work per unit of energy, inside the site's limits.

  • Monitor and predict

Specialised AI agents, each with one job, are built to watch the machines, the power feed and the cooling, and to see heat and load coming before they reach a limit.

  • Optimise and coordinate

A coordinating agent is built to set the site as a whole, rather than each machine on its own, for the most work per unit of energy inside the site's limits.

  • Built for the site, not the cloud

OCTO SI is designed to run at the edge, on the site's own hardware with local models, so that its control does not depend on an internet link.

  • A record of every action

OCTO SI keeps a tamper-evident, hash-chained internal log of its readings and actions: each entry carries the hash of the one before it, so a changed entry shows.

Governance

A person stays in charge

OCTO SI is designed so that these rules are enforced by the software itself, not written into a prompt and hoped for.

  1. Safety, then compliance, then efficiency. When they conflict, OCTO SI resolves them in that order.
  2. The agent proposes; a person disposes.Any action beyond limits a person has approved in advance, on hardware limits, firmware or money, needs an explicit human approval, enforced in code.
  3. Approvals expire.A raised permission lasts for one session or one incident. There is no standing "always allow" for control actions.
  4. Machine data is data, never instructions.Telemetry, device labels and third-party feeds are checked against a schema and passed on as data; no agent reads them as commands.
  5. Each agent has only the tools its job needs. No single agent holds every control, and each agent checks the messages it receives from the others.

Where the evidence stands

OCTO SI is simulation-validated, so far only on a digital twin: its 20–25% all-in edge over stock firmware is not yet measured on live hardware. Its first live test, on eight GPUs in two AI servers, is to be independently metered and attested, and it is licensed to miners only after a controlled 90-day measurement on mining machines, attested by an engineer with no interest in either party.

The 20–25% is a simulation result, not a measurement. No result from live hardware exists yet.

Products

One core, with a domain pack for each industry

Every OCTO product is the same core plus a pack that describes one industry; the core itself stays industry-neutral. None of them is deployed at a customer's site.

  • In development

    OCTO Base

The core: the agent runtime, the coordinator, the telemetry bus, the audit log and the simulator.

  • Simulation only

    OCTO Mining

Bitcoin mining, the reference implementation, run so far only on the digital twin.

  • Planned

    OCTO Energy

    Grids, microgrids and on-site generation.

  • Planned

    OCTO Water

    Drinking-water and wastewater treatment.

  • Planned

    OCTO Hospitals

    Hospital facilities: non-clinical operations first.

  • Planned

    OCTO EDU

    Education and training deployments.

Who is behind it

Architected for GrnBit, held by GrnBit

OCTO SI is architected by Dustin M. Jackson, Founder and CTO of GrnBit. It was developed by its founders for GrnBit (Cayman) Holdings, a Cayman Islands exempted company incorporated in 2015, which holds it as a trade secret, with no patent by policy; the founders' confirmatory assignment to the company is not yet executed.
